Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks
Culinary book shopBarbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks opened in Vancouver in the fall of 1997. Barbara-Jo McIntosh, the store’s owner, envisioned an epicurean’s delight where food lovers and cooks of all abilities would find inspiration.
The store stocks cookbooks, wine books and periodicals from around the world, including professional books and a carefully chosen selection of out-of-print books and “rare finds.” Unique and useful kitchen tools are also for sale.
The focal point of the shop is the fully-appointed demonstration kitchen, where cooking classes and demonstrations feature recipes from new and notable books.
In 2005, Books to Cooks proudly opened a second location in the Net Loft at Granville Island. This "little sister" carries the same great selection of books and is obviously located in delicious proximity to all that the Pubic Market the Island's many foodie havens have to offer. Our Net Loft shop is open seven days a week, from 10 am to 7 pm.
