1) WHAT INFORMATION INDUSTRYBLENDER.COM COLLECTS FROM YOU WHEN YOU VISIT OUR SITE:
One of the basic principles of Industryblender.com is that we ask only for the information we need to provide the service you have requested. In several areas of our site, we ask you to provide information by filling out and submitting an on-line form. The features of the Web site where personal information is collected are explained below:
Registering for Industryblender.com Membership: Registering with Industryblender.com is purely your own choice and is not a requirement for you to enjoy many of its features. When you register with Industryblender.com, you create a "User ID" of your choice and choose a secret password. We then ask for background information. The more information you provide, the better we can customize your on-line experience. Once you register with Industryblender.com, you are no longer anonymous to us. You are asked to create a User ID and a password and are better able to take advantage of the many features of this Web site.
Registering for Forums and Chat Rooms: To post messages on Industryblender.com ‘s forums and chat rooms ("Forums"), you must separately register with the Forums, apart from registration for Industryblender.com membership. You may view messages without registration. During registration, you will be asked to create a User ID and a Password, and you must give us your email address. You also may provide us personalized signature for postings. In posting messages, you are not required to post your real name; however, you are required to post your actual email address, although you may hide that email address from viewers. All of the information you provide, other than your password, will be viewable by other visitors of the Forums, as described in Section 2 below, so if you do not feel comfortable providing certain information, leave those fields blank during registration. In addition, your password is not encrypted and can be seen by the Forums' administrators, so do not use a password you would not like others to know.
Contact and Questions: You may submit questions, comments, or concerns to us on the Industryblender.com Web site. We will ask for your name, email address, your company name, and your comment or question. You may also provide your street address with zip code, phone number, fax number, and Web site.
Sweepstakes, Contests, and Special Offers: From time to time, we run sweepstakes, contests, and special offers, which you may choose to opt into. Participating in these promotions is purely voluntary. In these offers, we may ask participants for contact information (like your name, street address, email address), demographic information and perhaps additional information.
Resumes: At the Employment Center at Industryblender.com, we give individuals the option of posting their resume in our database. We will ask you to provide contact information, including your name and email address, and to answer various questions about the positions sought, your education level, relocation preference, current job title, availability, current work status, title, a category for your resume to be listed in, and a brief overview of your resume. You will also be required to submit your resume. You will be given a choice about "locking" your resume, as described in Section 2, below.
Job Postings: At Industryblender.com, we give companies the option of posting job openings in our database. We will ask you to provide your company name, a contact name, street address, phone number, email address. We will also ask you to describe the job you wish to fill.
Use of IP Addresses: An Internet Protocol ("IP") address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. When visitors request pages from Industryblender.com, our servers log the visitors' IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a visitor's session will be logged, but the visitor remains anonymous to us. Industryblender.com collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of our site. We also use IP addresses to collect statistical information to send to our advertisers and for other marketing and promotional purposes.

However, you will be given a choice to "opt out" of being contacted in this way. (See Section 3 below).
Information from Resumes: Unless you choose to "lock" your resume, any visitor to the Web site may access your resume and view your personal information. If you lock your resume, visitors will not have access to your personal information unless you grant permission on a case-by-case basis. However, visitors will have access to the non-personal information about what type of job you are looking for and your geographic location, so that employers will be able to decide whether to request access to your resume.
Information from Job Postings: Any visitor to the Web site may access your job postings.
